Scope note
Refers to fine-art digital prints made with an ink jet process; originally with the Iris, a large drum-based inkjet printer used to create proofs for offset lithography. These prints may be made on various supports: paper, canvas, mylar, etc. For high-volume editions of reproductions, use "giclée prints."
